Deadliest Catch “Time Bandit” T-Shirt

The Time Bandit was designed by Andy and Johnathan’s father, John Sr., and custom built for the Hillstrand fishing business. It has an 8 foot draft and is powered by two 425 horsepower Cummins engines with a cruising speed of 9 knots. THe Time Bandit carries 137 pots and has a capacity for 120,000 lbs of king crab. The boat includes such unusual amenities as queen-size beds, a four person sauna and a dishwasher. A bulbous bow was added in 2008 to reduce drag and help the boat ride above sea ice to avoid hull damage. The Northwestern was built by Sverre Hansen, a pioneer in the Alaskan king crab fishery and the father of Sig, Edgar and Norman. The original boat was 108 feet long and specifically designed to harvest king and tanner crabs in the Bering Sea. A few years later, when the king crab catches collapsed, the Northwestern became one of the first boats to fish for opilio crabs. Throughout the 1980′s the Hansens and their boat kept busy fishing during most of the year by following the various crab populations’ seasonal patterns. Twice since then the Northwestern has been lengthened to pack more crab and carry more pots. The boat is currently 127 feet long with 250 pots for a capacity of 251,000 lbs of king crab. I saw your products in the freezer isle, and being a fan of both Deadliest Catch and The Northwestern I immediately picked up a box. Of course they were awesome. I’ll never eat the name brand minced meat fish sticks again! The texture was great and they tasted really fresh, nothing like the bland and mushy ones I grew up eating. I seriously can’t wait til next payday to try the other four varieties. So when am I gonna be able to pick up a box of Captain Sig’s Crab Legs or Crab Cakes? That would be beyond awesome.
