‘Deadliest Catch’ Crew a Hit With Keene Audience

The tour is called “Sig & Friends,” so there’s a misnomer. It should be “Sig, Edgar & Friends —Unfiltered. ” That’s because for 90 minutes Sunday night, the stately Colonial Theatre in Keene became a rollicking bar in Dutch Harbor, Alaska.

So it was that Sig Hansen, the rock-star captain of the Northwestern on the Discovery Channel hit reality show “Deadliest Catch,” walked onstage holding some booze in a red keg cup. He picked up one of three water bottles spaced evenly on a table and flung it off-stage while bellowing, “What the (bleep) is this?”

And off we went.

  1. The show was awesome. These guys are as real as it gets and it was an honor to get to meet them. They are wonderful, down to earth men who don’t take their fame & fortune for granted. I really appreciated the time they took after the show to talk & take pictures with us. If they ever come back to Keene, my husband & I will absolutely go see them again!
